After the loss of Penny’s father which led Penny to being the caretaker for her stepmother, Jeff was laid off. This really spurred Jeff’s desire to start his own business. He was burned out in his previous career and knew that continuing on that path would not create the future he dreamed of for his family. Penny was nervous but supportive and amenable to hear about acquiring their own business as long as it was pursued thoughtfully and comprehensively.

However, fast forward 5 years and now they have multiple KTU franchises including the number 1 revenue generating KTU in the country! They also now have three open ILOVEKICKBOXING gyms with the first one continuing to be in the top 10 in the country every month! They’ve improved upon systemizing procedures, learning how to hire better, fire sooner, and keep great employees, as well as the profit levers to long-time success.
